This is going to be an ongoing list of ‘one liner’ type lyrics. This will be specific to my interpretation of them. I’m going to do my best to not make these relate to a specific feeling or event. I’ve realized that as I go through emotional phases, I listen to different music, and find little ‘one liners’ that hit different. Sometimes these lyrics are ones that would be nice to look back on and use in ANY emotional phase. This is going to be my place to find these lyrics that may help me to read or hear at a given time.
‘Cause Someday, we must return the movies in our brain

The angels never leak the expiration date

When I discovered this one, the meaning that I’ve come up with is kind of opposite of what the overall theme/feel of the song is. When I hear the firs line by itself. It’s a reminder not to dwell on certain events of the past, or even the ‘what-ifs’. They are just ‘rented movies’ in my brain and need to be returned at some point. A few lines later, ‘The angels never leak the expiration date’ also hits pretty hard. The universe isn’t going to tell me when to stop remembering/thinking, or when the ‘due date’ is for that particular ‘movie’. I need to decide on my own when to return it and make damn sure it’s before the due date that I don’t even know.
Just wear your silver lining, Wear it close to your skin.

This one kind of coincides with the teachings of Brittlie. I don’t remember what it was, but I said something good that I kind of brushed off, and she mentioned that that was a ‘Silver Lining’. I realized that I generally ignore those types of things that may be a positive, or something that I need to remember. This song is a reminder to keep these ‘Silver Linings’ close, and remember them.
